We use the latest Oculus Rift technology paired with body motion.How long is it?The price ranges from £8 to £14, depending on the experience.What’s the minimum age?The minimum age is twelve for the VR machine. However, it is possible for persons under this age ith a minimum height requirement and parental consent form; even with this, it is then to the discretion of the duty supervisor.Health factors:Immediately discontinue using the headset if any of the following symptoms are experienced: seizures; loss of awareness; eye strain; eye or muscle twitching; involuntary movements; altered, blurred, or double vision or other visual abnormalities; dizziness; disorientation; impaired balance; impaired hand-eye coordination; excessive sweating; increased salivation; nausea; lightheadedness; discomfort or pain in the head or eyes; drowsiness; fatigue; or any symptoms similar to motion sickness. Just as with the symptoms people can experience after they disembark a cruise ship, symptoms of virtual reality exposure can persist and become more apparent hours after use. These post-use symptoms can include the symptoms above, as well as excessive drowsiness and decreased ability to multi-task. These symptoms may put you at an increased risk of injury when engaging in normal activities in the real world.The Headset, Sensor, and Remote contain magnets or components that emit radio waves, which could affect the operation of nearby electronics, including cardiac pacemakers, hearing aids and defibrillators. If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, do not use the headset without first consulting your doctor or the manufacturer of your medical device. Maintain a safe distance between the headset and your medical devices, and stop using the headset if you observe a persistent interference with your medical device.Using the device can make your muscles, joints or skin hurt. If any part of your body becomes tired or sore while using the headset or its components, or if you feel symptoms such as tingling, numbness, burning or stiffness, stop immediately.Vertigo Retro:Please be aware there is no food or drink allowed in the Retro Room. At the time of booking, you can book consecutive hours if you’d like more time. There is an option on the day to extend your time by half an hour at a time for extra cost. However, this is subject to availability on the day.What if me and or my party are late?If you are late, we take no responsibility. Your booking begins on the hour or half hour that you originally booked and finishes at the consecutive hour time. It is up to the discretion of the Star Command team if you’ll have extra time to fulfil your hour.Can I take food/drink inside the Retro Room?We are currently in talks to organise a BYOB package with corkage fee. However, at the moment, due to the equipment, there is no food or drink allowed. We ask that you leave 5 minutes at the end of your session to ensure the room is left in the same presentable state in which you entered it. Soft drinks, water and crisps may be purchased at Star Command but are only to be consumed outside the room.How many games are there?There are over 100 classic games. A full list is available on www.vertigovr.co.uk/retro.Can I request a game?Let us know 7 days before your visit if there is a particular game you want to play. We’ll try our hardest to have it added to the games available before your visit. This may not always be possible but we do strive to supply the best experience.Can I play music?You can play your own music in the room through phone, tablet or other music device. The sound level is restricted so as to not bother those outside the room. If it reaches too high a level, our team will let you know. If it continually breaches this sound limit, we hold right to cancel your booking on the spot or disallow music in the room.How many controllers are there?There are six controllers in the room, two to each TV. For this reason, we say a maximum of 6 people in the room, however you may bring up to 8 with the knowledge that, at any given time, there is a maximum of 6 players only.My TV is frozen, what can I do?If you experience any technical issue, come straight away to Star Command Control and our team should be able to help you.
